The March for Unity commenced at the Central Shaheed Minar on Tuesday afternoon with one minute of silence to honour those who lost their lives during the July uprising.
Organized by the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, the event started at 4pm, drawing attention to the sacrifices made during the movement.
Afterwards, Md Abul Hasan, the father of Shahriar Hasan Alvee, who was martyred in the movement, shared memories of his son.
Subsequently, individuals from various walks of life took the stage to deliver speeches in phases.

Present on the stage were central coordinators of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, along with leaders and activists from various organizations.
Over the past two days, the Proclamation of the July Revolution by the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and the Jatiya Nagorik Committee sparked significant discussions in the country’s political sphere.
Later, the government announced that it would prepare a proclamation for the uprising.
Early on Tuesday, leaders of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement declared the March for Unity program.
