Khoda Baksh Chowdhury, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser, has inspected the footpaths in several areas of Dhaka to restore discipline on the footpaths, according to a press release from the DMP, received on Wednesday.
During the visit, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Baharul Alam, and the Commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), Sheikh Md Sajjat Ali, accompanied him.
The press release from the DMP stated that they visited the footpaths at Indira Road and Farmgate in Tejgaon.
During the inspection, they spoke with the street vendors, listened to their opinions, and discussed how to maintain discipline on the footpaths while safeguarding the interests of pedestrians through coordinated efforts.
The Deputy Police Commissioner of Tejgaon Division and various other senior officials were also present during the visit.
