If no new physical complications arise, BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia is set to leave Dhaka for London on December 29.
She will depart on a flight during the day, accompanied by several senior members of her personal and medical team.
When asked on Sunday at around 7:45pm, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said: “We are hopeful that she will leave on December 29, if everything goes as planned. Four to five doctors will accompany Madam (Khaleda). Preparations have already been completed.”
According to sources close to the chairperson, the delegation will primarily include medical professionals.
Among them are Dr Shahabuddin, a member of the medical board and Dr AZM Zahid Hossain, her personal physician, along with several others.
