BNP Chairperson's Advisor Zainul Abdin Farroque demanded the interim government to declare the election roadmap immediately on Thursday.
“The role of elected peoples’ representative is very crucial to face any kind of conspiracy against the country,” he told in a protest rally organized by Bangladesh Civil Rights Movement.
The rally was organized in protest against Indian conspiracy, propaganda and activity against Bangladesh’s sovereignty in front of Jatiya Press Club.
Farroque said: “The extremists are being encouraged as the ousted former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is instigating them from India.”
He also said: “The extremists attacked Bangladesh Assistant High Commission at Agartala to make the interim government unstable. But the countrymen will resist any kind of conspiracy against the country.”
Convener of Bangladesh Civil Rights Movement M Jahangir Alam presided over the rally and its Member Secretary Mofazzal Hossain conducted it.
Central BNP leaders Abu Naser Mohammad Rahmatullah and Shah Mohammad Nesarul Haque, among others, were present.
