Business owners at Jamuna Future Park are protesting on the road in response to a theft at a mobile shop.
The police and the army worked together to manage the situation.
At 12pm on Friday, shop owners blocked the road in protest.
Abdus Samad, a manager of one of the shops, said: "A theft occurred at the mobile shop last night. In protest, the shop owners and staff took to the streets."
Assistant Commissioner of the Police’s Gulshan Division, Badda Zone, HM Shafiqul Rahman, said: "As we have heard, a theft took place at the mobile shop in Jamuna Future Park last night."
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Vatara police station, Mohammad Mazharul Islam, said: "We are here and talking to them. We will update you shortly."
