Police arrested former agriculture minister Md Abdus Shahid on Tuesday night in Uttara, Dhaka.
Muhammad Talebur Rahman, deputy commissioner (media) at the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), confirmed the matter.
He said a team from Uttara West police station arrested Abdus Shahid. More details about the arrest will be shared later, the officer added.
