Three people sustained burns from an explosion at an apartment In Dhaka's Shyampur area on Tuesday.
The injured are Abdur Rahman Tushar, 35, Md Jamal, 50, and Md Jamil Khan Rashed, 24.
They were rescued and admitted to the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery on Tuesday morning.
Tushar’s brother Dipu said that around 2:45am gas accumulated in Tushar’s room on the seventh floor of the building, somehow igniting and burning the three of them.
The Institute's Resident Surgeon, Md Tariqul Islam, said that Tushar has suffered 100% burns, Jamal 75%, and Jamil 55%, with their conditions remaining critical.
