A suspect named in the chargesheet for the 2018 attack on the convoy of former US ambassador Marcia Bernicat has been arrested by the Detective Branch (DB) in Mohammadpur, Dhaka.
DMP AC (media) Jahangir Kabir confirmed the arrest of Md Siam Hasan, 26.
Acting on a tip-off, a DB Tejgaon team from the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) apprehended Siam Hasan at around 11:30pm at a house on Tajmahal Road, Mohammadpur, on Monday.
He was wanted in connection with the supplementary chargesheet filed in the case of the attack on Bernicat's convoy.
Siam is an accused in another case related to a killing during the recent student uprising and has several other cases pending against him.
