Md Mahbub Ali, former state minister for civil aviation and tourism, has been arrested.
Detectives arrested the Awami League politician in the Shegunbagicha neighbourhood of Dhaka on Sunday night.
His arrest came in a case filed with Jatrabari police station.
The former state minister will be produced in court on Monday, according to media reports.
