Police detained Jatiya Party chairman, former minister Anwar Hossain Manju from Dhanmondi in the capital on Monday afternoon.
DB Joint Commissioner of Police (North) Md Rabiul Hossain Bhuiyan said a team of DB police detained him. There were five cases against him.
He has been taken to the DB office.
