Ahmed Hossain, organizing secretary of the Awami League, has been detained by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Detective Branch (DB).
Detectives apprehended him late on Tuesday night in the capital’s Banasree area, a source within the DB confirmed.
The source said Ahmed was being held in DB custody.
