A fire that erupted in the Karail shanty town of Dhaka on Sunday afternoon has been brought under control.
Upon receiving the news 4:05pm, six firefighting units rushed to the spot and contained the blaze at around 5:33pm, said Talha bin Jasim, a fire service official.
The agency could not immediately confirm the cause of the fire or the extent of damage.
A Bangladesh Army team had also joined the fire service to help put out the flames, the Inter-Services Public Relations Directorate said in a press release.
