Adam Tamizi Haque, managing director of Haque Group of Industries, has been again sent to a rehabilitation centre for a mental health test.

Earlier, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DB) questioned him about giving various statuses on social media.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Additional Commissioner and Detective Branch (DB) chief Md Harunor Rashid gave this information in a press briefing at the DB office on Minto Road in the capital on Wednesday.

He said that a case was filed against Adam Tamizi for writing various things on social media, leading to his arrest by Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DB) Dakshinkhan police station. After his arrest, concerns about his sanity arose due to his behaviour and speech.

Due to his drug addiction, he was sent to a drug treatment centre or rehab. During the court proceedings, it was informed that DB believed he needed treatment due to his incoherent speech.

Subsequently, he was sent to the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) and Hospital for treatment on the court's orders.

A board of nine expert doctors at the mental hospital examined him, and after the examination, the board members opined that he was still not mentally healthy and needed further treatment. Consequently, he has been sent to rehab again.

DB had detained Adam Tamizi Haque for questioning from his home in Gulshan, the capital, on the night of December 10.
