A group of journalists working with the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has launched an organization named Anti-Corruption Reporters Forum (ACRF).
The inauguration of this new organization was held on Tuesday at the ACC's media centre in Dhaka’s Segunbagicha.
Tawheed Sourav, a special correspondent for ATN News, has been appointed as the convener of ACRF, while Muhammad Rishad Huda, a senior reporter for Independent Television, will serve as the member secretary.
Other members of the convening committee include Morshed Noman, chief reporter of the Daily Sun; Aditya Arafat, special correspondent of DBC News; MA Rahman Masum, senior correspondent of Dhaka Post; Hasib Bin Shahid, senior reporter of the Kaler Kantho; Mahbub Kabir Chopol, special correspondent of ATN Bangla; and Sheikh Zahiduzzaman, special correspondent of Bangla Barta.
Following the launch of the organization, ACRF leaders held a meeting with ACC Chairman Mohammad Moinuddin Abdullah and its two commissioners, Md Jahurul Haque and Asia Khatoon.
The ACC chief and commissioners extended congratulations to the forum and requested its collaboration in various activities aimed at combating corruption.
In its upcoming plans, the ACRF intends to establish a comprehensive executive committee.
