The Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested the mastermind of the cocktail blast on Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge's Court premises that took place on November 20.
The arrestee has been identified as Mukit alias Boma Maulana, Additional Commissioner Harunor Rashid disclosed the matter at a press briefing on Tuesday.
Mukit alias Boma Maulana, is the mastermind behind the attack. A number of materials for making bombs were recovered from his possession, he added.
On November 20, a group of miscreants exploded a crude bomb at the premises of Dhaka court in the capital’s Old Dhaka.
The explosion happened in the court premises around 4pm after the bail hearing of BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
