The Dhaka University and Bijoy Sarani stations of the metro rail will be opened on Wednesday.
Through this, 14 out of 16 metro rail stations from Uttara to Motijheel section will be opened. The rest of Kawran Bazar and Shahbagh stations will also be opened in a phased manner.
Passengers will be able to travel from Dhaka University and Bijoy Sarani metro stations from 7:30am on Wednesday.
However, these two stations of Agargaon-Motijheel section will remain open for traffic till 11:30am. All stations from Uttara to Agargaon will operate from 7:30am-8:30pm.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the metro rail from Uttara to Agargaon on December 28, 2022. Later, she inaugurated the Motijheel section from Agargaon on November 4.
