A passenger bus of “Torongo Plus Paribahan” was set on fire by unidentified miscreants in Shahbagh area on Thursday afternoon, on the second day of nationwide blockade enforced by BNP and like-minded parties.
The incident took place in front of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Medical University (BSMMU) around 1:35pm.
Shahjahan Shikder, an official of the fire service (media cell) confirmed the matter.
On information, two firefighting units of Siddik Bazar fire station rushed to the spot and doused the fire at 1:52pm.
No casualty was reported.
