A youth died after being hit by a speeding vehicle in the Jatrabari area of Dhaka on Tuesday.
The deceased, in a black t-shirt and jeans, is yet to be identified and presumed to be in his late 20s.
Jatrabari police station Sub-Inspector Hiraman Biswas said he died on the spot.
The police later recovered his body and sent it to the morgue of Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
The SI added efforts are being made to identify the deceased using his fingerprints.
