Two crude bomb-like objects were recovered from the washroom of the Dhaka University (DU) Arts Building.
The bomb disposal unit of the police recovered the two objects on Monday morning.
According to Arts Building sources, security guard Md Abul Kalam Azad was inside the washroom of room 1,106 on the ground floor at around 10am on Monday.
He saw the objects and informed the university proctor about the matter.
Shahbagh police station’s bomb disposal unit arrived at the scene at around 10:40am, said Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Ramna Division) Shah Alam Md Akhtarul Islam.
“We are investigating if these are actually crude bombs,” he added.
