Detective Branch (DB) police picked up Aman Ullah Aman, former member secretary of the Dhaka University unit of Chhatra Dal, on the first day of nationwide BNP blockade.
He was detained from Sher-E-Bangla Nagar in Dhaka on Sunday night.
He was picked up while he was holding a procession in the area.
