Members of Rapid Action Battalion rescued a female garment worker who was believed to be dead in a clash during a demonstration of garment workers on Tuesday.
The worker named Josna Begum was rescued alive from Pallabi area in Mirpur on Wednesday.
Lieutenant Colonel Abdur Rahman, commanding officer of RAB-4 confirmed the matter on Thursday.
He said that garment workers protested on Wednesday centring the rumour of Josna's death.
During a discussion between the proposing workers and RAB, they informed the elite force that Josna was killed in the clash and the body disappeared.
Later, RAB started intelligence surveillance and investigation in this regard.
Based on information, they rescued the missing Josna alive from Kalshi area of Pallabi.
Currently, she is healthy and normal at home. RAB-4 has kept constant contact with her.'
Legal action will be taken against the attackers to control the situation, said the RAB official.
