A passenger bus was set on fire in the capital’s Notun Bazar area on Wednesday amid the road, rail and waterway blockade enforced by the BNP, the Jamaat-e-Islami and their allies.

Miscreants set a passenger bus of “Boishakhi Paribahan” on fire at 7:07pm, said Rozina Akter, duty officer of the Dhaka Fire Service and Civil Defence control room.

Meanwhile, miscreants set an ambulance of Universal Medical College on fire under Mohakhali flyover in the capital in the evening.

However, no casualty was reported in the incident.

Police officials visited the spot.
