A fire broke out at Central Police Hospital (CPH) in Dhaka’s Rajarbagh area.
At the time of writing this report, two fire service units are on the spot to douse the blaze, Fire Service Control Room Duty Officer Rafi Al Farooq.
He said: “We got the news of fire at Rajarbagh hospital at 3:15pm. We have two units on the scene. Whether there was a fire or someone started the fire intentionally - we don't have that information right now.”
A tense situation has been prevailing in Dhaka as both BNP and Awami League holding rallies. In Kakrail, police and BNP men were seen locked in a clash.
Police tried to control the situation by firing rubber bullets, tear gas and sound grenades during the clashes.
On the other hand, BNP workers threw bricks at the police.
Earlier in the day, miscreants vandalized three vehicles in Dhaka’s Kakrail.
