A total of 11 platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has been deployed in the capital, ahead of the hartal called by the opposition BNP on Sunday.
Among them, a team will be deployed in Ramna, and two each in Motijheel and Palton areas.
Four platoons of BGB have been deployed in front of Chief Justice Obaidul Hassan's residence, and two platoons in front of the Secretariat.
Earlier in the day, 10 platoons of BGB were deployed in the capital to control the heated situation centered around BNP and Awami League rallies, BGB Public Relations Officer Shariful Islam told Dhaka Tribune.
