The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) is set to intensify security measures for the gatherings of political parties scheduled on October 28.
RAB will establish checkposts at the entrances of Dhaka city to prevent the entry of individuals carrying firearms or explosives intended for sabotage. Additionally, checkposts will be installed at crucial locations across the city.
RAB's Law and Media Wing Director Commander Khandaker Al Moin disclosed this information during a press conference held at RAB's media centre in Karwan Bazar on Wednesday afternoon.
He emphasized that peaceful political gatherings were a normal part of democratic processes in Bangladesh. RAB, as a law enforcement agency, is committed to ensuring the safety and security of the city's residents, especially during events of such significance.
