A fire that broke out in a shop in the capital's Lalbagh area on Monday, has been brought under control.
The fire service was able to douse the fire at 3.25pm. However, no casualties were reported.
The fire broke out around 1:35pm at “Madina Mistanno Bhandar” at 92 Lalbag Road, said Fire Service and Civil Defence media wing official Md Shahjahan Sikder.
Upon information, the fire service personnel started working to control the fire since 1:45pm.
The firefighters said the cause of the fire and the extent of damage will be known after investigating the matter.
