A half marathon will be organized in the capital's Hatirjheel area on Friday to publicize the ideals of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujirbur Rahman and the spirit of the Liberation War among the youth.
Inspiring Bangladesh has initiated the event, titled “Inspiring Bangladesh Independence Run 2023”, in association with the Ministry of Youth and Sports along with the Liberation War Museum, Dhaka North City Corporation, Bangladesh Tourism Board and satellite television channel Rtv.

Imran Fahad, the founder of Inspiring Bangladesh, said that they aim to inspire the youth by delivering the message of the Liberation War to them. “As a result, we can build a drug-free and healthy society and play an effective role in building a smart Bangladesh.”
Prior to the marathon, a two-day Race Expo will begin on Tuesday at Hatirjheel Amphitheatre and end at Rampura Bridge (West).
