A policeman died after being run over by a train in Dhaka's Moghbazar on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Md Yusuf Ali Khan, 59, son of late Abdur Rahim Khan of Barisal's Bakerganj upazila. He was a police constable in LPR.
Confirming the matter, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Dhaka railway police station Md Iqbal Hossain said Yusuf Ali died on the spot after being run over by the Brahmaputra Express train leaving Dhaka at around 7:30pm on the railway line between Moghbazar Dilu Road and FDC.
At that time, he was walking along the rail line, said the ASI.
The body has been kept at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) morgue.
