The results of the entrance examinations for the science and fine arts faculties at Dhaka University (DU) for the undergraduate program of the 2022-23 session will be released on Monday.
Students will be able to view their results on the website at 1pm, said a notice posted on the university's admissions website on Sunday.
The entrance examination of Dhaka University began with the admission test of the Faculty of Fine Arts on April 29.
The admission test for science faculty took place on May 12. Each examination was held from 11am to 12:30pm.
For the first time, students of science, business and humanities took a combined test at DU.
For the fine arts faculty, there were 7,790 applications for 130 seats, resulting in a competition of 55 students per seat.
Meanwhile, for the science faculty, there were 127,075 applications for 1,851 seats, meaning approximately 69 students competed for each seat.
Of these, 1,775 seats are for science students, 51 for humanities students, and 25 for business students.
According to information obtained from the central admissions office of the university, a total of 298,429 candidates applied for admission into the undergraduate program for the academic year 2022-23.
Accordingly, about 50 students vied for each of the 5,965 seats across the four units.
