Chhatra League leaders deny the allegation of attacking the JCD leaders

Six leaders of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) were reportedly injured in a clash with the Chhatra League at Dhaka University on Saturday.

The clash took place at the Curzon Hall gate at around 12:30pm after the arts, law, and social science units' entrance exams for undergraduate programs ended.

Among the injured are Mominul Islam Jisan, Raju Ahmed, Abdullah Al Sabbir, Anik Ahmed, Zarif, and Atik Ishrak.

Three of them are in critical condition, said Dhaka University JCD General Secretary Ariful Islam.

Ariful claimed that the Chhatra League attacked them while they were distributing flowers and pens to admission-aspirant students.

He strongly condemned the attack and demanded that the university administration take immediate action to identify and punish those responsible.

Ariful Islam warned that if no action is taken, the JCD will take a tough stand against the Chhatra League.

Dhaka University Chhatra League President Mazharul Kabir Shayan and General Secretary Tanbir Hasan Saikat denied the allegations.

They claimed that the JCD's internal conflicts led to the clash, and the accusations against the Chhatra League were baseless.

According to them, the conflict arose between two separate groups within the JCD who were trying to distribute flowers separately.
