Dhaka University admission test to kick off Saturday

The exams will be held from 11am to 12:30pm for all units

The admission test of Dhaka University (DU) for 2022-23 academic session will begin with examination for Faculty of Fine Art on Saturday.

Candidates seeking admission first year undergraduate degree will sit for the examination.

The entry test of arts, social sciences and law faculty will be held on May 6, science faculty on May 12 and business faculty on May 13.  

The exams for all units will be held from 11am to 12:30pm.

The admission test for the other three units except the fine arts unit will be held in eight divisional cities including Dhaka like the previous year.

Admission test admit cards can be downloaded up to one hour before the examinations.

According to the information available from the central admission office of the university, some 298,429 candidates have applied for admission to the undergraduate program in the academic year 2022-23.

Accordingly, about 50 students will fight for each seat against 5,965 seats in four units.

Professor Mostafizur Rahman, coordinator of the university's online admission test said that 7,079 applications were received against 130 seats in the Faculty of Fine Arts.

Some student organizations have planned to provide services to the students who are scheduled to take axams in the university.

Dhaka University unit Chhatra League will also provide services like every year.

Chhatra League informed that they will provide a total of 11 services in a press release signed by Dhaka University unit Chhatra League President Mazharul Kabir Sayan and General Secretary Tanbir Hasan Saikat on Friday.

The services include- establishing “Student Help and Information Centre” at various important points of the university and ensuring provision of necessary information to the students; providing directional signs throughout the campus to convey information about test centers and full-time volunteering; distributing free educational materials suitable for admission test including pens, files; launching free “Joy Bangla Bike Service” program for students, and providing free drinking water.
