International Mother Language Day observed at Primeasia University

A discussion meeting was organized to remember the sacrifices of the language martyrs

Primeasia University has observed International Mother Language Day and paid tribute to language martyrs on Great Martyrs' Day with spontaneous participation of stakeholders. 

A wreath-laying ceremony was held at the Central Shaheed Minar and a discussion meeting was organized to remember the sacrifices of the language martyrs on Tuesday, said a press release issued on Wednesday. 

The event was chaired by Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Md Nurunnabi Mollah, and Raihan Azad, Vice Chairman of the University Board of Trustees, served as the chief guest. 

Special guests in attendance included University Chief Advisor, Commodore (retired) Jobair Ahmed, Policy and Development Advisor Suzadur Rahman, University Treasurer Prof Dr Iffat Jahan, and Registrar Brigadier General (Retd) Kazi ASM Arif.

The discussion meeting highlighted the history of the language movement and paid tribute to the sacrifice of the language martyrs. 

Inaugural speech was delivered by Professor Dr Shumoy Dutta, the Dean of the School of Science.

Faculty members, students, and staff from various faculties attended the event to pay their respects to the martyrs of the language movement. 

The observance of Great Martyrs' Day and International Mother Language Day by Primeasia University reflects the University's commitment to preserving the legacy of the language martyrs and honoring their sacrifices for future generations.
