In a bid to save fuel, the Dhaka North City Corporation has issued an order saying that none of its official transports will be out on the roads on Fridays.
DNCC transport department issued the order on Monday.
However, emergency transport, waste disposal trucks and transports engaged in anti-mosquito drives are not part of the order.
Previously on July 25, Dhaka North Mayor Atiqul Islam all DNCC offices to ensure that they save power.
