Nirapad Sharak Chai (NISCHA-we demand safe roads), a volunteer platform working for road safety, has inaugurated its Dhaka University unit.
NISCHA founder and Chairman actor Ilias Kanchan and General Secretary Sadeq Hossain Babul approved the 21-member committee on Monday.
The DU committee for the year 2022-23 comprises Rifat Jahan Shaon of the Theater and Performance Department as convenor and Enamul Haque of the Law Department as member secretary.
Ilias Kanchan said that the committee will continue towards ensuring road safety at all times.
According to the newly appointed Convener Shaon, there are plans to announce hall-based committees for the organization.
NISCHA is a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring safe roads throughout the country. It comprises of around 15,000 members over 70 branches countrywide.
