A 22-year-old man was stabbed to death in Dhaka's Vatara area late on Saturday.
Md Shanto suffered severe wounds after being repeatedly stabbed at around 9pm by “some locals, including Ramjan, Lalon and Emon”, alleged Shanto’s friend Nurul Islam.
“Then they called me with Shanto’s phone to tell me that Shanto had been in an accident,” he added.

Later, some of Shanto's friends took him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where the doctor on duty pronounced him dead at about 10:30pm, said Inspector Bachchu Mia, in-charge of DMCH police outpost.
He added that the body was at the hospital morgue for autopsy.
