Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested four people in connection with the murder of a fish trader in the capital’s Pallabi area on February 22.
RAB said that Zahid Hasan was murdered over establishing supremacy in the area.
The four arrestees are—Damru, Dollar, Raja and Korban. RAB arrested them during different raids between Saturday and Sunday, RAB-4 Captain Mozammel Haq told journalists on Sunday.
He said that the deceased was a member of a junior gang in the area and the arrestees are members of a senior gang. Both the gangs are involved in drug peddling, he said.
The arrestees chased down Zahid in Pallabi area on February 22 and hacked him to death. The father of the deceased, Hanif Khan, filed a murder case in this regard, RAB said.
