In pictures: Rain brings relief to Dhaka residents

Rain brought some much-needed relief to the residents of Dhaka from the scorching summer heat on Wednesday. 

The met office in its 9am weather bulletin forecast that rain or thundershower with lightning flashes and temporary gusty or squally winds were likely to occur at many places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions, and at a few places in Khulna and Barisal divisions in the next 24 hours. The mild heat wave sweeping through several districts might abate, it added.
