Brigadier General Md Nazmul Haque, director of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), on Tuesday said action would be taken by forming an inquiry committee over the clash between Chhatra League activists and hospital staff.
His response came after Bangladesh Grade Four Government Workers’ Association of DMCH took position in front of his office in the morning and protested against the attack that took place on Monday.
The leaders of the association said they were unjustly attacked by the DMCH unit Chhatra League activists. One of the injured is still undergoing treatment at the hospital.

The leaders set an ultimatum of 48 hours to identify the culprits and take action against them.
“In case of any other incident, the authorities will have to take the responsibility,” said a leader.
Later, Shipon Miah, general secretary of the association, submitted a signed vowel to the hospital director and the college principal.
Earlier, three staff were injured in an attack by some activists of the college unit Chhatra League during a program on Monday.
When the news spread, the hospital staff confined the students after closing the main gate of the ward corridor, creating panic among the patients.
