A Factory worker was killed in a boiler explosion at Shyampur in Dhaka on Saturday night.
The deceased was identified as Mahbub, 70, hailing from Srinagar upazila, Munshiganj.
Confirming the matter, DMCH police outpost In-Charge Inspector Md Bachchu Mia said the boiler machine of an aluminium product making factory went off with a big bang, leaving Mahbub injured.
Later he was taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), where the doctor on duty declared him dead at around 10pm.
