Police on Wednesday lodged a case against 155 leaders and activists of the BNP in connection with Tuesday’s skirmish between law enforcers and some party members at Chandrima Udyan in Dhaka.
Charges have been brought against the BNP men for injuring members of law-enforcing agencies and vandalizing property, said DMP Tejgaon Division Deputy Commissioner Md Shohidullah while talking to the reporters.
The accused in the case filed with Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police station include the BNP's Dhaka North Convenor Amanullah Aman and its Member Secretary Aminul Haque.
On Tuesday, several BNP leaders and activists and police personnel locked in a clash, leaving dozens injured on both sides.

The skirmish took place at around 10:30am when the newly-formed convening committees of the BNP's Dhaka city north and south units went to place wreaths at the party founder Ziaur Rahman’s grave in the park.
Police and the BNP later placed the blame on each other for the clash.
