A woman has died after the gas cylinder of a truck exploded at a filling station in Dhaka's Hazaribagh.
The incident took place at RS CNG Filling Station in the Beribadh area in the early hours of Tuesday, police said.
The deceased was identified as Salma, 30.
Hazaribagh police station Assistant Sub-Inspector Sajal said the woman was on the truck when it was refuelling at the filling station.
He said Salma got critically injured and fell from the truck following the explosion.
She was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared her dead around 4:10am, said the hospital’s police outpost In-Charge Inspector Bachchu Miah.
Her body was later sent to the morgue, he added.
