Two people have died after losing control of their motorcycle in Konapara area of Dhaka's Demra.
The deceased are Anis Uddin Bhuiyan Babu, 44, and his son Sadman Rahim Bhuiyan, 22. Anis Uddin was a tiles trader of Mataul Madhyapara in Demra and Rahim was a third-year student at Borhan Uddin College.
Family members said that they were returning after getting the motorcycle repaired from a garage when Rahim lost control of the bike and fell into a ditch.
Rahim died on the spot, while his father was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival by the doctors on duty. Two relatives had been accompanying them on another bike behind them.
DMCH police outpost in-charge Inspector Bachchu Mia confirmed the incident and said Babu's body had been sent to the morgue for autopsy.
Family members said Rahim had recently taken an admission form of a private medical college and wanted to pursue an MBBS.
