A fire broke out in a residential building in Banani of Dhaka on Friday.
The fire started at 12:37am on the fifth floor of a six storey building on road-3, block-7 of Banani.
Kamrul Islam, duty officer at the Fire Service and Civil Defence control room, said: “On information, six firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control around 1:10am.”
Two rooms were burnt. however, no casualties were reported, he added.
The fire service said the cause of fire could not be determined immediately.
