Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has removed more than 300 illegal signboards and billboards from Gulshan, Banani, and Pragati Sarani of the city in an announced eviction drive.
DNCC Mayor Atiqul Islam said the eviction drives against illegal signboards and billboards will continue until traders start to follow installation guidelines.

He urged businessmen to pay the taxes for signboards and billboards, and to follow proper installation guidelines unless they want to be fined.
“The taxpayers will be appreciated and the defaulters will be punished,” he said, issuing a warning during the drive on Tuesday.
DNCC has also evicted illegal vendors occupying the footpaths of Gulshan and Banani, and fined them over tk1 lakh so far, said a press release.
