The Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) will launch a drive against illegal billboards, signboards, banners and festoons from September 15.
DNCC Mayor Atiqul Islam announced the drive at a virtual meeting on Friday morning.
Many business institutes are using billboards, signboards and banners illegally, and many shops are using several signboards despite taking permission for only one, the mayor said.
Unauthorized billboards and signboards are hampering the beauty of the city and also denying the DNCC revenue, he said.
He urged everyone to take approval for billboards, banners, festoons from the DNCC by September 14.
