A construction worker has died after falling from an under-construction building in the capital’s Wari area on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Mizan, 17, son of Rafique Munshi of Bhola district.
Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police outpost In-Charge, Inspector Bachchu Mia confirmed the incident to Dhaka Tribune.
“The body has been sent for autopsy,” he said.
Contacted, Md Russel, a maternal uncle of the deceased, said: “Mizan slipped and fell off a 10-storey under-construction building in Old Dhaka’s RK Mission Road.
“He was working there as a bricklayer. Mizan was rushed to DMCH where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.”
