Police has arrested a teenage boy from Dhaka’s Demra area of Dhaka for allegedly raping a minor.
The arrestee, 17-year-old Rabiul Islam was arrested from his home on Tuesday night.
Rafiqul Islam, inspector (investigation) of Demra police station, said accused and the victim are neighbours, and thus the victim used to visit the house of the accused occasionally.
“The accused took the advantage on Monday evening and he allegedly raped the minor when his family members were not home,” he added.
The victim's family filed a case in this allegation at Demra police station on Tuesday.
''Victim's was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital One-Stop Crisis Center (OCC), when her condition worsened and for pathological test,” Rafiqul Islam added.
