A woman was killed and her mother left injured in a road accident in Dhaka's Wari area.
The incident happened at Tikatuli TNB Circular Road on Thursday afternoon.
The deceased is Sahara Talukder, 23, who worked as an admin officer at a garments factory in Dhaka's Rampura area.
She was the daughter of late Shahadat Hossain and Nazira Parvin, 50, from Auria village of Nesarabad upazila in Pirojpur district, and was living with her family at Mugda Maniknagar Comilla Potti area.
Wari police station Sub Inspector (SI) Md Manjurul Habib said: "Sahara and her mother were on their way to her sister's place in Lalbagh Nawabganj Bazar when a covered van hit their rickshaw.
"The duo was thrown out of the rickshaw. Sahara died on the spot and her mother got injured."
Sahara’s body was handed over to the family after autopsy at Dhaka Medical College morgue, and Nazira is still undergoing treatment at the hospital, he added.
