A group of former students of BAF Shaheen College Kurmitola has distributed winter clothes to the poor people affected by the cold wave in several parts of the capital.
About 500 poor people in Mirpur and Mohammadpur areas received warm clothes and blankets in the early hours of Saturday, said a press release.
The members of the voluntary organisation named BAF SK Eagles SSC'91 and HSC'93 have taken the humanitarian initiative by collecting donations from its members at home and abroad with the aim of minimizing the suffering of the underprivileged children.
Several members of the group including Chayon, Mahboob, Javed, Wadud, Tanvir and Asad, and former teacher of the school Moyaz Uddin attended the event.
