A locomotive has derailed in Khilgaon area of Dhaka.
The incident took place around 11pm on Thursday.
Assistant Station Master Niten Chandra Saha of Kamalapur Railway Station said: "It was only the engine of a train that derailed and there were no compartments.
"The incident happened while the locomotive was being taken back to the station after changing the rail tracks from the station workshop.
However, a relief train put the engine back on the tracks later and the locomotive returned to the station, he added.
No casualty was reported due to the incident.
